Kevin Cline is the President and Lead Investigator for Cline Investigations, LLC. He is a medically retired law enforcement officer with 16 years of education, training and experience as a full-time sworn law enforcement officer in the state of California.
Since retiring from law enforcement in 2010, he has accumulated over 14 years of private investigation education and industry experience. Kevin always had a passion for helping others and when he could no longer do his job physically as a full-time law enforcement officer, he found a way through private investigations. As a PI, he continues to provide professional services by helping others with their respective investigative requests.
*A little secret: Kevin thrives on working with families and law enforcement agencies on cold homicide and missing persons cases. He fully believes getting a "fresh set of eyes" on a cold case can almost always result in a successful resolution, thereby providing the final closure for the victims, their families, their friends, the respective communities and the law enforcement agencies involved.

We have access to numerous databases, outside professionals, hi-tech tools, equipment and various resources to assist our investigators in nearly every possible scenario. If we don't have the resource in house, we will contract with the specialized professional needed in order to assist us in completing your investigative request.
We provide a wide range of professional investigative services for private, government, tribal, corporate, and international clientele. We have worked numerous investigations with federal, tribal, state, county, and city governmental agencies as well as civilian clientele.
Although our home base is located in Mendocino County, we currently provide investigative services to clients throughout the state of California and we'll be licensed to conduct investigations in other states in the very near future!

- Hourly rates and fixed investigative service fees vary depending on the type of investigative service requested.
- All rates/fees are disclosed to the client before any work begins.
- All mileage traveled in performance of the investigation are billed at the current IRS mileage reimbursement rate.
- All out-of-pocket expenses paid by the Investiga

- All out-of-pocket expenses paid by the Investigator in performance of the investigation are billed to the client at cost.
- Some investigative services have a one-time service fee, while other investigations may require a minimum service fee, plus hourly fees to complete the investigation as requested.
- More complex investigations may require an advanced fee to get the investigation started and all investigative hours and costs will be billed against the advance fee in increments as agreed upon with the client.
- Various forms of payment are accepted.
